Create a 10" x 20" canvas that looks as if it has been found at your favorite flea market. Construct 3 hanging shadow boxes from wood and paper.  Learn how to colorize ordinary black and white copies that tell a story from the past. Make unique embellishments with stamping, mica, charms, beads, and wire.  Please bring to class:  Basic Tool Kit, black and white copies of your favorite photos, (we will have a stack of black and white photo copies available too) Acrylic paints of your choice, White and Burnt Umber Acrylic Paint, Black Acrylic Paint, Antique Linen Crackle Paint, 2 med sized 3/4"-1" flat paint brushes.  Red Lead Workshops are for adults 18 and older.

Well Worn Soldering Workshop is full...we will repeat this workshop in the early spring of 2009! What is well worn soldering?  Imagine happening across an old piece of art from the turn of the century that has been lovingly tucked away and forgotten.  The soldered art has rusted a bit, time has aged the piece to a soft glowing patina and it is roughed up around the edges.  You have stumbled upon well worn soldering!  You will create 1 altered art well worn collaged  4" x 4" canvas, a hand-dyed tag embellished  with  mica,  and 1 altered art  vintage silver plated spoon that you will collage and solder. Please bring your basic tool kit to create your collages.  All soldering equipment and supplies will be provided.
