This workshop is full but repeats on Sat. Oct. 16, 2010. Spend the day in the Red Lead Studio creating your metal masterpieces. Learn the fabulous art of transferring on metal, making cold connections with wire, stamping on metal. You will create a handful of transferred and altered charms to adorn yourself and your metal book that is embellished with patina copper. The metal book is 4" x 4" with patina brass covers, chipboard pages with vintage style papers, and edged with with copper patina strips. You will also make 3 miniature vessels filled with vintage photos, and topped off with wirework and beeswax. You will use the metal techniques that you learn in this class again and again in all of your altered art. A wonderful fresh lunch will be served and lasting friendships will be made! Basic Tool Kit: Scissors, Uhu glue stick, Ultimate glue, Quickie glue pen, Krylon leafing pens, Xacto knife, pencil, ruler, paper cutter, 1/8" hole punch, paper piercer, eyelet setter or Crop-o-dile, bone folder, sanding block, paper towels, old magazine. Extras needed for Altered Artology-Metalology Awl Claudine Hellmuth Matte Medium Metal Stamps-we will have metal stamps available for you to use.
